Jeff Cammuso began his pickleball journey at RT.12 Pickle in mid-January, quickly becoming captivated by the club’s energetic and welcoming community. From the start, he was struck by the generosity of local businesses supporting both the facility and a range of charitable causes. “These companies are generous people and individuals that everyone would want to socialize with and compete with,” Jeff shared.
Beyond pickleball, Jeff himself is deeply involved in charitable work, having served on the boards of organizations like the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, Why Me/Sherry’s House, and currently, he contributes his time to The Officer Ronald Tarentino Jr. Charitable Fund, 365Z Foundation, and Safe Road Alliance.
On the court, Jeff’s quick hands are his greatest strength, but he’s focused on improving his footwork and overall fitness. He maintains a regular routine of band workouts, squats, and pushups. “The only obstacle is that three-letter word—AGE,” Jeff jokes. Still, he hasn’t let that slow him down. In fact, since taking up pickleball, Jeff has lost 40 pounds, thanks to frequent play (at least four times a week), a structured workout plan, and a healthier diet—all motivated by his desire to excel at the game. “This sport is addicting,” he admits, crediting pickleball for reigniting his passion for fitness.
Jeff doesn’t stick to a fixed group of playing partners. Instead, he keeps in touch with fellow players through group texts and takes advantage of RT.12’s flexible scheduling, joining games that match his skill level and availability. What keeps him coming back is the camaraderie and uplifting atmosphere at RT.12. “There are so many kind individuals here. Always complimenting you whether you make a good shot or a poor shot. It's a fun place to come and meet amazing people,” Jeff says.
If you are looking to get in shape or try something new, Jeff wholeheartedly recommends RT.12 Pickle, all thanks to our welcoming and supportive community.
